Executive MPA Student Remembered

Jamie Cope Bennee, a 34-year-old BYU Executive MPA student, died in a tragic plane crash in Payson, Utah, on Nov. 18.

In addition to being a first-year EMPA student in the Romney Institute of Public Management, Bennee was the finance director for the City of Lindon since 2007 and a part-time aviation instructor for Utah Valley University. The plane crash took place while Bennee was instructing a Utah Valley University aviation student.

Bennee married Joshua John Bennee on May 7, 2005. They have two children, 4-year-old Boston Joshua and 20-month-old Alexandria Lea.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. in the Point Meadows 1st Ward Chapel, 2150 N. Pointe Meadow Drive, Lehi, Utah.
