Sub for Santa: Help a Child in Need

Marriott School of Management students and faculty are helping Santa this Christmas season during the annual Sub for Santa campaign going on now through Friday, December 11.

Sponsored by the United Way, the Sub for Santa program has been a special part of the Marriott School’s holiday season for the last 20 years. Thanks to the generosity of the Marriott School community, approximately 250 gifts will be opened by Utah County children on December 25.

“The walls of the Tanner Building continually remind us to 'be the difference,'” says Jessica Harris, Marriott School student council vice president of events and a finance senior from Farmington, Utah. “Sub for Santa gives the students and faculty of the Marriott School a chance to come together and put that motto into action. I can't think of a better way to kick off the Christmas season.”

A booth located on the first floor of the Tanner Building is manned by volunteers from 8 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday, where students and faculty can sign up to donate and drop off new, unwrapped gifts. Additionally, signups for gifts and cash donations can be made online at marriottstudent.com.

The Marriott School is located at Brigham Young University, the largest privately owned, church-sponsored university in the United States. The school has nationally recognized programs in accounting, business management, entrepreneurship, finance, information systems and public management. The school’s mission is to prepare men and women of faith, character and professional ability for positions of leadership throughout the world. Approximately 3,000 students are enrolled in the Marriott School’s graduate and undergraduate programs.
