Are you looking for ways to distinguish yourself? Do you want to become a more attractive recruitment candidate or make contact with professionals in your field? Consider joining one or more of the 24 student clubs or associations at the Marriott School during Club Week 2004.

“Recruiters look for students who distinguish themselves,” says Associate Dean W. Steve Albrecht. “One way students can distinguish themselves is through excellence in academics; they can distinguish themselves even further through club involvement and leadership. While excellence in academics is great, a student can often learn as much, if not more, from experience in extracurricular activities.”

Club week, sponsored by the BYU Management Society, takes place Sept. 14-16 in the Tanner Building atrium. Marriott School clubs and student associations offer excellent ways for students to explore a variety of career options and interact with professionals. Clubs offer leadership and service opportunities as well as guest lecturers, entrepreneurial and business plan competitions and networking with students, alumni and business leaders.

“Clubs at the Marriott School have a lot to offer students,” says Brian Crapo, Undergraduate Management Society president. “Club week is a great opportunity for students to see how they can become involved at the Marriott School and how the clubs can help them get the most out of there time at school.”

Clubs and student associations range from hi-tech and fraud to women in management and investment banking. A complete club listing can be found at www.marriott.byu.edu/clubs. Students can find out more information at individual club booths or join online.
