When the BYU Marriott Inclusion Committee gathered data about students’ experiences in the business school, the committee discovered many individuals desired further guidelines on developing inclusive behavior that they could carry with them into the workplace.
Four students walk into a room: a chemical engineer, statistician, computer scientist, and business strategist. It might sound like the beginning of a gag, but bringing together savvy students from a variety of disciplines is what the Marriott School’s Crocker Innovation Fellowship is all about.
There are no easy fixes to maintaining a workable balance between family and career; it is always a struggle. I have found that this sort of balance can only be achieved through clear focus and relentless personal discipline.
