While most students were simply juggling textbooks, 2013 Marriott School grad Bradley Robins was also singing and dancing around the world with the BYU Young Ambassadors. But this Saturday Robins will light up a venue a little closer to home: LaVell Edwards Stadium.
Along with Casey Elliot and Bradley Quinn Lever, Robins will take the stage during the fireworks finale at the Stadium of Fire on 4 July. Going by the name GENTRI, the group came together last summer with the goal of creating inspiring music. On Saturday the trio will perform the new single, “Patriotic Medley” for thousands of spectators.
Robins credits the Marriott School with helping him develop an entrepreneurial spirit that he calls upon every day as GENTRI tries to carve out a niche in the music business.
“It was my entrepreneurship executive lecture class that really inspired me to pursue this venture,” Robins says. “To have entrepreneurs come in and tell stories about how they built their businesses developed this interest in me that has really never gone away. The Marriott School definitely prepared me so that when this opportunity came, I was ready.”
