Institute of Public Management Names Administrator of the Year

Brigham Young University’s Romney Institute of Public Management has named Carolyn B. Lewis its 1998 Administrator of the Year, honoring her at a banquet held in Provo on September 17.

Lewis, president of the CBL Group, a professional services agency to clients in the securities and health care industries, has also been named chair-elect of the American Hospital Association. Having served on several boards and committees within the Association, Lewis is the first hospital trustee to be chosen as chair-elect.

The Administrator of the Year Award is given annually to an outstanding man or woman who has achieved distinction after many years in management in the public sector. Past recipients include Edward D. Thatcher, city manager of Greenville, TX; Manuel F. Acosta, senior foreign service officer, U.S. Department of State; and George W. Romney, Governor of Michigan.
