Wasatch Cup Healthcare Leadership Case Competition
The Wasatch Cup is a healthcare case competition hosted by the BYU Healthcare Leadership Association aimed at preparing the next generation of healthcare leaders. To accomplish this, the Wasatch Cup is designed to provide a forum for aspiring graduate and undergraduate healthcare leaders to solve a modern problem in healthcare leadership with a distinct strategic emphasis. Teams are challenged to identify innovative strategies and tactics that will advance organizational alignment with its mission, vision, and values.
Students who participate can learn new skills, network with and receive feedback from industry professionals, build confidence, develop leadership skills, improve their resume, and win cash prizes. The Wasatch Front offers unique healthcare challenges and opportunities for participating students to explore and innovate in this competition.
The competition is formatted to give competitors real-world experience formulating and synthesizing solutions, and then presenting them to industry professionals. All students present to and receive feedback from a preliminary round of judges. Finalists are then selected to present their solutions and strategies to the executive team of the sponsoring organization.
