- All Day: JKB Update: Business Classes and Spaces Available Fall 2026
The Jesse Knight Building (JKB) has undergone a series of renovations over the spring/summer terms, which are expected to be complete for fall 2026. The JKB can now also host business classes and a faculty lounge to help alleviate the growth of many of the business programs. Those classrooms are available for scheduling by Campus Scheduling.

BYU Marriott Welcome Desk Created on 4th Floor Entrance
A BYU Marriott welcome desk has been created at the 4th-floor entrance to the Tanner Building (previously the BCC west entrance) to help provide navigational support and information throughout the construction process. Deans Office operational employees are at the welcome desk from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. A computer kiosk is also available in the welcome desk, which provides access to construction notifications and regularly updated floor maps.

Tanner Building Rooms Changed to Four-Digit Numbers
Room numbers in the Tanner Building are changes to align with the university numbering systems and to avoid duplicate numbers with the building’s west numbers system. The new four-digit room numbers are labeled outside each room and the building maps have both the old and new numbers listed for reference and navigation.

Study Spaces Limited for Fall Semester
Many student study spaces have transitioned into temporary office spaces to support Undergraduate Advisement, the Ballard Center, and the Global Business Center employees and functions until those offices are completed. Because of the limited accessible study spaces available to students, students are recommended to utilize designated campus study spaces in the library or other open areas across campus.
Currently, all private student study rooms, student conference rooms, the MACC and MISM graduate lounges are inaccessible.

A few departments have permanently moved locations. The MPA program and Romney Institute of Public Service and Ethics are now located on the third floor (3362, 3376). The Department of Information Systems is located on the seventh floor, with its department office in room 7202.
