Keynote
Steve Cadigan is a seasonedt talent executive with over 25 years of global human resources experience. Steve has practiced HR in the US, Canada, and Asia-Pacific and worked on many complex acquisition integrations around the globe. Most recently, Steve served as vice president of talent at LinkedIn for over three years and took the company from a private firm of 400 employees through an IPO and into the powerhouse that it is recognized as today. Steve was instrumental in laying the foundation of LindedIn's leadership team and culture, which has been repeatedly recognized as one of the core reasons for LinkedIn's success. Prior to LinkedIn. Steve served as vice president of HR at Electronic Arts where he was responsible for the games label group, with 2,500 employees and $2 billion revenue, as well as M&A integrations. Steve helped build Cisco’s world-class acquisition integration team and previously held key HR leadership roles at PMC-Sierra, AMD, Fireman’s Fund and Esprit. He has been repeatedly recognized for building world-class teams, cultures, and organizations. Steve holds a BA in history from Wesleyan University and an MA in organizational development and human resource management from University of San Francisco.
Called the “apostle of appreciation,” by the Globe and Mail, Canada’s largest newspaper, and “creative and refreshing” by the New York Times, Chester Elton is co-author of several successful leadership books and is an in-demand speaker the world over.
Elton’s books have been translated into over 20 languages and have sold more than a million copies worldwide. The Carrot Principle by Simon & Schuster has been a regular New York Timesand Wall Street Journal bestseller, and 24-Carrot Manager has been called a “must read for modern-day managers” by Larry King of CNN. The Orange Revolution was the number one selling business book in the United States according to the Wall Street Journal.
As a motivation expert, Chester has been featured in The Financial Times,Washington Post, Fast Company and the New York Times. He has been featured on 60 Minutes, CNN, ABC’s Money Matters, MSNBC and National Public Radio.
Chester has spoken to delighted audiences from Seattle to Singapore and from Toronto to Istanbul. He holds the acclaim of being the highest rated speaker at the National Society for Human Resource Management annual conference (Bill Cosby was the number-two rated speaker). He serves as an employee engagement consultant to firms such as Pepsi, American Express, Madison Square Garden, Avis Budget Group and Texas Roadhouse.
However, he is most proud to be the father of four exceptional children.

Dave Ulrich is a professor at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan and a founding partner at the RBL Group, a consulting firm focused on helping organizations and leaders deliver value. He studies how organizations build capabilities of leadership, speed, learning, accountability, and talent through leveraging human resources. He has helped generate award winning data bases that assess alignment between strategies, organization capabilities, HR practices, HR competencies, and customer and investor results.
Dave is a renowned consultant, speaker and prolific writer. He has published over 200 articles and book chapters and over 25 books.
Panelist
Christopher Clason is vice president of human resources at Honeywell. Before joining Honeywell, Chris was a vice president of human resources with Citigroup based in New York City and held various senior HR roles focused on businesses in Latin America and Europe. He began his career in human resources with Chevron.
Chris earned his bachelor's degree in international relations as well as his MBA from Brigham Young University. Chris is a member of the Mariott School National Advisory Council and the OBHR Advisory Council. Chris and Kristy have four children.
Mark is responsible for the strategic leadership of Cisco's Global Staffing organization. He oversees all talent acquisition activity externally and internally from university hiring through to the executive C-suite positions. It also comprises workforce planning, staffing operations management, staffing CoE work, and strategic sourcing/market intelligence work. His team is located throughout the world and handles all hiring for over 90 countries of Cisco operations.
Mark joined Cisco in 2001 and has held roles in the human resources and finance functions. Prior to his current role, Mark lead the human resources function for Cisco's business in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. This included management of HR operations for all lines of business and strategic partnering with the theatre president. Mark established the regional HR strategy and alignment of local HR teams to corporate strategies, initiatives, and programs.
Mark has worked for Coach Leather (Sara Lee) and Hallmark Cards, predominantly in organization design and development consulting roles.
Mark holds a degree in French, with minors in business and in psychology. He received his master of organizational behavior from Brigham Young University. He is involved in state, community, youth and church service. He is a member of the BYU Marriott School OBHR Advisory Board. He and his wife Margie reside in Chapel Hill, NC with their four children.
Shiloh joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2006 and is currently a senior manager with both the global human capital and knowledge service organizations. As a consultant, she has skillfully led change management, communications, talent management, and learning initiatives for more than 15 Fortune 500 companies and government clients. She has a proven record of successfully coaching senior-level management through significant change, while supporting the development of affected personnel. She has led global talent management, project management, and stakeholder support activities for worldwide organizational change initiatives, including managing teams globally. Shiloh has more than 13 years of experience in the industry and has spent time working in both Europe and the US. She holds a bachelor of communications and a MBA from Brigham Young University with an emphasis in organizational behavior. She currently lives in McLean, Virginia.
Dennis W. Shuler joined Kellogg Company as senior vice president, global human resources on 18 February 2010. He is also a member of the company's global leadership team. Before joining Kellogg's, Dennis served as chief human resources officer for The Walt Disney Company. Before joining Disney, he served 23 years with the Procter & Gamble Company, where he held key human resource and business unit leadership roles at the global level. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the State University of New York in Oswego and a master's degree in human resources management from the University of Alabama.
Dennis is a board member of four universities: The University of Alabama's Board of Visitors in Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Xavier University's Williams College of Business Advisory Board in Cincinnati, Ohio; Durham University in Durham, UK, where he is a visiting professor and advisory board member; and Brigham Young University as a member of the Marriott School of Management, Human Resource Advisory Board. He is also a fellow with the Royal Society of Arts in London, England, and also serves as a board member of emeritus with the Los Angeles, California Urban League.
Dennis was born in Cayuga, New York. He and his wife, Tammy, reside in Kalamazoo, Michigan. They have two sons.
