Mark Hamberlin
Mark is responsible for the strategic leadership of Cisco's Global Staffing organization. He oversees all talent acquisition activity externally and internally from university hiring through to the executive C-suite positions. It also comprises workforce planning, staffing operations management, staffing CoE work, and strategic sourcing/market intelligence work. His team is located throughout the world and handles all hiring for over 90 countries of Cisco operations.
Mark joined Cisco in 2001 and has held roles in the human resources and finance functions. Prior to his current role, Mark lead the human resources function for Cisco's business in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. This included management of HR operations for all lines of business and strategic partnering with the theatre president. Mark established the regional HR strategy and alignment of local HR teams to corporate strategies, initiatives, and programs.
Mark has worked for Coach Leather (Sara Lee) and Hallmark Cards, predominantly in organization design and development consulting roles.
Mark holds a degree in French, with minors in business and in psychology. He received his master of organizational behavior from Brigham Young University. He is involved in state, community, youth and church service. He is a member of the BYU Marriott School OBHR Advisory Board. He and his wife Margie reside in Chapel Hill, NC with their four children.
