The BYU Hunger Banquet has been a staple event at the end of BYU's Care Week for over three decades. The night will be filled with live entertainment, speakers, and good food. Before the Hunger Banquet begins, attendees have the opportunity to learn how they can get involved in international development issues at the Involvement Fair in the Wilkinson Center Garden Court at 6 p.m. The dinner and program will begin at 7 p.m. in the Wilkinson Center Ballroom. The 32nd annual Hunger Banquet will focus on the true impact of our well-intentioned international development efforts on the people we are trying to help. Attendees will come away from the event reflecting on the changes they can make in their engagement efforts in order to make a difference in a positive way.

At the beginning of the night, attendees will be randomly assigned to a social class and fed a meal typical of that income level. They will also be given a role as they enter the Hunger Banquet and will experience different events throughout the night through the eyes of their assigned character. This event will have a large digital aspect. We highly encourage having a smart device at the event to fully enjoy the experience of this year’s event. Profits for this event (including all additional donations) will go to support an international development non-profit that will be announced at the Hunger Banquet.

This event is put on by the Students for International Development (SID) club at BYU.

Online Ticket Purchases will end at 8 p.m. on Friday, February 24th. Tickets can still be purchased at the door before the event starts.
