Study Abroad Programs
Africa Accounting
This is an exposure experience to learn what it is like to work abroad as a professional in accounting and consulting. During the program, you will meet and work with start-up, government, and nonprofit organizations. You will have a firsthand experience consulting for a client on a project. Projects vary from year to year, but have included a construction company, children’s shelter, public health college, community hospital, and an organization empowering young girls. The trip takes place at the beginning of spring term and ends mid-May, so you will have the rest of the summer free for an internship or other work.

Asia Information Systems
Students will discover the cultures of some of the oldest civilizations on earth while learning business practices in some of the world’s most dynamic economic regions. This program will expose students to the unique challenges and economic realities in Asia and in the South Pacific. Although this program has a general business focus, the Asia Pacific Business Study Abroad is open to all majors. The cultures and sites we will visit will fascinate students from across campus who have an interest in international affairs and travel.

Europe Business
Six countries in Europe will be “the world as our campus” for four wonderful weeks in May and June 2020. This significant learning experience abroad is designed for undergraduate business students; however, students of any major interested in global affairs and travel are also welcome. You will receive on-the-ground experience in European business, government, and culture as we visit companies, castles, and cafés of Europe, spanning the Italy to the UK. We will also enjoy the spectacular natural beauty of these countries, such as the Swiss Alps, the Bavarian Alps, and the breathtaking landscapes of Italy.

Global Marketing
You will literally fly around the world in this amazing program, designed to give students an understanding of the unique challenges, cultural sensitivities, and economic realities of conducting global business (particularly marketing).
Students will learn about global business “on-the-ground” through business visits to companies that may include: Barclays in London, Dow in Switzerland, Amazon in Taiwan, Yum! Brands (KFC) in Thailand, General Mills in Dubai, Google in China, Qualtrics in Australia, and Fisher & Paykell in New Zealand.

International Accounting
BECOME A GLOBALLY-MINDED ACCOUNTING PROFESSIONAL AND EXPERIENCE DIVERSE CULTURES.
You will gain a new perspective of international business and accounting as you learn about challenges and opportunities facing global companies and organizations in a variety of industries operating in many countries. You will also experience the rich diversity of cultures as you travel through nine countries.

Latin America Business
This amazing program will bring students to Latin America, one of the world’s most dynamic and important regions. We will learn about business there by visiting companies and talking with managers who run them. In addition, you will visit the wonderful cultural sites of Latin America, such as Brazil’s massive Maracana stadium, which hosted the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympic games. In Buenos Aires, “The Paris of Latin America,” you will enjoy a dinner with a traditional tango show. We will also visit the amazing Machu Picchu of Peru, Rio De Janeiro’s Christ statue (Corcovado), the spectacular Iguazu Falls, the Panama Canal, and the beautiful Arenal volcano and beaches of Costa Rica.

Oxford to India
This seminar is a sharply focused, four and a half week experience sponsored by the Marriott School’s Global Management Center. Classes will be held at the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford by Oxford professors, where students will learn the skills, theory, and practice of global business and leadership. The seminar will give students a chance to work on a real-life global project(s) for a business based in India. Participants in the program will also be exposed to Oxford’s rich history and culture and have the opportunity to take nearby excursions to Stonehenge, Bath, the Salisbury Cathedral, London, and other sites.
Students will then fly to Hyderabad, India, to continue the project(s) in country. These projects will be more than just business projects; they will be projects that help local micro-enterprises or growing businesses improve thus improving lives andeconomy. In India, the group will visit Golconda Fort, the Charminar District in Hyderabad, and then travel to see the Agra Fort in Agra, the spice market of Delhi, the Amer fort and step wells in Jaipur, and the Taj Mahal. One of the best ways to experience India for the first time is with a group leader who is experienced and can help navigate the amazing culture, this is one of those trips.
The program is open to all majors. Students can expect to develop real-life international business, marketing, and strategy experience.
