Welcome to Stories of Life
A welcome and introduction to the event by Chanté Stutznegger and Alexis Bradley. Various performers will take audience members on a journey through black history.

1526 - 1789: "Old World to New"
A drum and musical performance by Alex Boyé
6:45 pm
1790 - 1863: "The Enslavement of Africans"
A folk spiritual solo performance by Daysha Lassiter and Frederick Douglass monologue by Mauli Bonner.
7:00 pm
1864 - 1916: "Reconstruction and the Start of the Great Migration"
A dialogue with Chanté and Alexis.
7:05 pm
1917 - 1937: "The Jazz Age and the Harlem Renaissance"
A jazz solo from Daysha Lassiter and a saxophone and piano solo from Ray Smith.
7:25 pm
1938 - 1969: "The Civil Rights Movement and Black Power"
Performance by the BYU Rhythm 'N Soul Collective.

1970 - Present: "Breaking New Barriers and the Spirit of the Millennium and Beyond"
Performance by Alex Boyé and the BYU Rhythm 'N Soul Collective.

Dance Party and Refreshments
Dance party, dessert, drinks, and exploration of audio stories of life.
