Andrew served a mission in Argentina, holds a degree from BYU and his MBA from SMU with an emphasis in Finance and Real Estate. Andrew was also a starter on the BYU Football team as a wide receiver on the nation’s #1 offense playing under Lavell Edwards and Gary Crowton. Andrew and his wife Allison have 4 children and reside in Southlake, TX. While at Greystar, Andrew has directed all phases of development for 8,400+ class-A and senior apartments (25 deals), including 120,000 SF of retail, across all product types. His responsibilities have included sourcing, underwriting, entitling, and coordinating developments across the Central North US region. Recently, Andrew has taken on a new role as Greystar’s national managing director over the build-for-rent single-family development platform. During this time, Greystar has refined their strategy and raised an 800M unlevered BFR fund with CPPIB (Canada Pension Plan) while also expanding other equity relationships to grow the platform.

Highlights from John’s career include: transitioning from PwC to Lehman (acquisitions), surviving Lehman’s bankruptcy, living in the Middle East and building Blackstone’s Affordable Housing business. John was born in Kingston, Canada, served a mission in Brazil, and graduated from BYU’s accounting program (2003). He leveraged an early promotion at PwC (audit) & Portuguese from his mission to get into Lehman Brothers, where he invested in real estate and worked through the largest bankruptcy in world history. After Lehman, John spent four years in Abu Dhabi, investing over $8B in U.S. real estate on behalf of ADIA. He joined Blackstone’s real estate group in 2017, focusing on acquisitions & asset management in residential real estate. He is now building Blackstone’s $13B Affordable Housing (LIHTC) business (April Housing) and is passionate about creating/preserving housing for those of limited means. John lives in NYC with his wife Emma and four children (ages 5-15).

Danny Wall is an Associate Professor of finance at the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business. He leads the school’s Master of Real Estate Development and Master of Science in Finance programs and serves as the Executive Director of the Ivory Boyer Real Estate Center. He has taught courses on real estate finance, corporate finance, financial modeling, consulting, and housing affordability. He currently teaches the capstone course for the Master of Real Estate Development program. Danny holds a Master of Science in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Utah. He is a member of the Counselors of Real Estate and holds the MAI and CCIM designations.

Dejan Eskic is a senior research fellow at the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute. He is involved in housing, construction and real estate research, fiscal impact studies and economic and demographic analysis. He has focused on providing the best information to key decision makers, including local and state officials, executives of national retailers and publicly listed REIT’s. Before joining the Gardner Policy Institute, Eskic worked in the retail research industry where he evaluated current and future sales performance for retail sites through statistical gravity modeling reflecting market demographics throughout the Country. He has worked on a number of public-private-partnerships relating to Tax Increment Financing, along with many real estate market studies and economic development plans. Eskic holds a Master’s in Real Estate Development, and B.S. in Urban Planning, from the University of Utah. He is an adjunct professor of Real Estate Market Analysis at the University of Utah.

Ron Harrison serves as Global Officer for Marriott’s Global Design Division. A more than forty-year veteran of Marriott International, he is responsible for overseeing Global Design, including architectural and interior design, construction management, and procurement related services for all acquisition, conversion, renovation, and new construction projects. Mr. Harrison leads multiple teams within Global Design, working with Luxury, Premium, Extended Stay, and Select Service Marriott products, both domestically and internationally. Mr. Harrison holds an MBA from the University of Washington, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University. In addition, he graduated from the Advanced Management Program, Harvard Business School.

McKell Dalton was born and raised in Portland, OR. After graduating in business finance/real estate from Brigham Young University, McKell took an 18 month leave to serve as a missionary for her church in Ventura, CA. She worked as a research analyst for both Colliers International and CBRE. She also worked for WaFd as a credit analyst underwriting construction and acquisition loans. McKell also holds a master’s in real estate development from the University of Utah. While there, she served on the student council for the Ivory Boyer Real Estate Center. She also participated in the Utah Real Estate Challenge where her team placed first, winning $20,000. McKell currently works as a development associate for Woodbury Corp. She is an active member of CREW Utah and is in her third year of service on the Board of Directors as the Director of the Scholarship Program. McKell received this scholarship and is passionate about paying it forward.

Nate has managed and developed over five million square feet of commercial space in various markets in and out of Utah. Nate received an MS in Real Estate Development from MIT and a BA in Finance from BYU. Nate serves on the Salt Lake Community College, United Way, and Salt Lake Chamber boards. Nate is married to Brooke Boyer, has five children, and lives in Salt Lake City.

Lance Bullen is a founding partner of Colmena Group. He focuses on strategic partnerships, economic development, investment underwriting and asset management. He has experience in multifamily, student housing, office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use developments and acquisitions. He is also a principal member and founding partner of OZ Impact Funds, a $400 million private real estate opportunity zone fund that invests in manufactured housing across the United States. Lance was foundational to the creation of SLC Global Logistics Center, a 3,000-acre master planned industrial zone located in northwest Salt Lake City. He received an MS in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, an MBA from the Gore School of Business at Westminster University and a BA from the University of Utah. Danny Woodbury

Danny Woodbury is the Senior Vice President of Leasing at Woodbury Corporation. He oversees all the leasing for Woodbury Corporation’s office and retail portfolio. His role also includes being a project lead on several development and acquisitions. Prior to his time at Woodbury Corporations, he worked at Seritage Growth Properties where he led redevelopment efforts for Sears and Kmart’s. He graduated in engineering from BYU in 2010 and earned a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 2015. During his time at Harvard, he was the senior researcher for the real estate group at Harvard Business School.

Before coming to the University of Utah, Danny Wall spent his career in the real estate field, where he did appraisals, consulting, commercial lending, and commercial brokerage. Wall’s primary focus has been forensic appraisal and consulting, and he’s applied that focus to a wide range of markets and property types, including large industrial and manufacturing operations, large land-development projects, special-use facilities, commercial and residential properties, and recreational and resort properties. He’s been tapped for expert analysis in tax disputes, damage claims, bankruptcy cases and estate-planning, among other areas, and has served clients ranging from individuals to financial institutions, corporations to government at the city, county and state levels. Danny received as BA in English from the University of Utah and an MS in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver.

Abby Ivory currently works as the Managing Director of Ivory Innovations which is focused on driving housing affordability by supporting companies who are driving change in the industry as well as educating students about the problem and ways that they could take action. She also holds a position as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at the David Eccles School of Business. Prior to this she has worked on the Impact Investing team for the Sorenson Impact Center and as an intern focused on researching Green Bonds with Equilibrium Capital in Portland, Oregon. Her work has been published in the Stanford Social Innovation Review. Abby graduated with a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Utah in 2016 with an emphasis in Sustainability.

Jake and the JF team have partnered with the industry’s best lenders, investors, property managers, and builders to assemble, entitle, finance, and build active projects with a combined count of approximately 1500 affordable apartment units and development budgets totaling over $400MM. Jake has 20 years of experience in RE investment, brokerage, finance, and development. Prior to joining J. Ashley Powell has over 37 years in the commercial real estate industry. He joined Property Reserve, Inc. (PRI) in 2017 to lead the acquisitions team and was named president in January 2018. Ashley leads a team of roughly 200 professionals dedicated to building an enduring global portfolio of office, industrial, apartment and hotel properties, as well as major land holdings. Under his leadership, the company has increased assets under management several fold and leveraged its U.S. investing expertise to expand into Europe and Asia. He has focused on institutionally proven strategies to reduce risk and volatility, beat industry average returns, and develop the next generation of leadership. Prior to joining PRI, he was a partner and head of acquisitions in the western U.S. for BentallGreenOak U.S., a top 20 real estate investment manager. Prior to that, he was a managing director at DWS. He is a past national chairman of NAIOP, a 20,000-member commercial real estate organization.

Noble Coker is a fifth generation Texan, and as such, is required to state this fact first in any official communication. His family were mostly ranchers or preachers. Not big enough to be a rancher, nor smart enough to be a preacher, Noble went into consulting. Through his career, Noble has worked as a management consultant for Price Waterhouse, as a leader in Walt Disney Parks (many years in Asia), Wanda Group in Beijing, the Kaisa Group in Shenzhen and served on USC’s faculty teaching business strategy. He currently leads the development and expansion of the Diplomatic Quarter, a unique district in Riyadh, KSA that houses 60+ embassies, 10K residents and an aspiration to expand by 5X in the next nine years. Noble and his wife Eleanor are both graduates of BYU Provo. They have two daughters who have graduated from BYU Provo and BYU Hawaii. Noble and Eleanor have a son still at home who they are hoping will be big enough to be a rancher.

Crystal Call Maggelet is the CEO of FJ Management Inc., a diversified family business that includes wholly-owned subsidiaries: Maverik, a 360 c-store chain and Big West Oil, a petroleum refinery. She is also a director on the Pilot Flying J Board of Managers, a Director on the Savage Services Board, and serves on the Utah State Board of Higher Education, Liv Communities Board, Intermountain Healthcare Board, Salt Lake City-Utah Committee for the Games, and the Zions Bank Advisory Board. She is actively involved in managing the family’s charitable giving through the FJM Impact Fund. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Pepperdine University, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and Honorary Doctorate Degrees from Utah State and Weber State Universities. Crystal loves her role as a mother to her four children ranging in age from 21 to 26. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. Ben most recently worked as an advisor to PointState Capital focusing on a significant hotel and real estate investment in Buenos Aires, Argentina. During his 11 years at Goldman Sachs, he focused on M&A advisory assignments, capital raising, mortgage lending and restructuring. Don Sleight recently retired as president and chief executive officer of Farmland Reserve, Inc. and AgReserves, Inc. These two entities own and operate the investment farms and ranches affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay Saints. Don was raised in Georgetown, Idaho and received a bachelor’s degree in agronomy with a minor in chemistry from BYU. He earned a master’s degree in agronomy from the University of Nebraska and then returned to BYU where he received his MBA from the Marriott School of Management. He spent the next 37 years managing agricultural properties, including 14 years in Florida, 11 years in the state of Washington, and the last 12 years in executive assignments in Salt Lake City. Don and his late wife Alane are the parents of six children.

Julie Kilgore is President of Wasatch Environmental, an environmental science and engineering firm based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. She has over 30 years of experience in environmental assessment, investigation, remediation, and regulatory agency coordination. Julie chairs the task group responsible for developing the revisions to ASTM 1527 Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Standard, and was appointed by EPA to serve on the regulatory negotiation Federal Advisory Committee to assist EPA in developing the federal All Appropriate Inquiry regulation. Ms. Kilgore provides and/or oversees turn-key environmental consulting ranging from Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. Redevelopment projects have included multi-parcel big-box store acquisitions in historical industrialized areas, and major renovation/change-of-use projects for transitional low-income housing. Ms. Kilgore has also provided environmental due diligence for conservation acquisition projects.

Mike Acton is the Head of AEW Research and a Managing Director of the firm. In his role, Mike works closely with the Fund’s investment management team in the development of the firm’s investment strategies and criteria. He joined AEW in 1990 and has 35 years of experience as an economic analyst and forecaster. Prior to joining AEW, he was with DRI/McGraw-Hill where he managed the Metropolitan Area Forecasting Service. Mr. Bybee has been in commercial real estate since 2006 when he started developing Thanksgiving Park and Thanksgiving Station, a 120-acre master plan at Thanksgiving Point consisting of Class A office, retail, and high-density housing. Under Mr. Bybee’s direction, Thanksgiving Park and Thanksgiving Station have set the pace for Class A office in North Utah County, boasting 1.2M SF with 70+ Tenants in 9 years, with another 800k SF on the books. In 2015, Mr. Bybee and partner Nathan Ricks founded STACK Real Estate to take advantage of Utah’s office market along the Wasatch Front. Today STACK is under construction on 330K SF of Class A office at TOD locations, with 650K SF worth of TOD projects in the pipeline and the first TOD multifamily (240 units) project in North Utah County. Mr. Bybee holds a degree in accounting from BYU.

As a co-founder of Ensign, Greg was instrumental in building the company, taking it public and assembling the real estate portfolio that comprised CareTrust’s initial asset base when CareTrust became an independent public company in 2014. Greg previously served as General Counsel for the Sedgwick Companies, an Orange County-based manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer with 192 retail outlets across the United States. Prior to that, Greg was an equity member of the Phoenix law firm of Jennings, Strouss & Salmon PLC, where his practice emphasized real estate transactions and government relations. Greg received his J.D. in 1986 from the UofA, and his B.A. in Humanities in 1983 from BYU.

Kris Woolley is the Founder & CEO of Avista Senior Living. Avista is an owner and operator of Assisted Living and Memory Care communities with a current portfolio of 13 communities totaling approximately 1,200 units in Arizona, Utah, California, and New Mexico. Prior to founding Avista, Kris was a Principal and Managing Director at Greystar Real Estate Partners, and an analyst at Goldman Sachs in San Francisco and New York City. Kenneth M. Woolley

In 1977, Mr. Woolley founded Extra Space Storage and served as its CEO through 2009 and currently serves as Chairman of the Board. The company operates over 1900 self-storage properties and has a $15 billion market cap, making it the largest company in value headquartered in Utah. In 1989, Mr. Woolley started developing apartments in Las Vegas, NV. Through his company Nevada West Partners, he has led the development of over 18,000 units in 42 projects. In 2008 Ken teamed up with two Israeli partners to form Gaia Real Estate, which purchased, repositioned, and sold approximately $3 billion in apartments. Mr. Woolley is currently Chairman of the Board of American Homes 4 Rent. AMH owns 54,000 single-family homes and has a market cap of $10 billion. Ken taught strategy and real estate as an Associate Professor at the Marriott School from 1979 through 1998. Mr. Woolley earned a B.A. in Physics from BYU, an MBA, and Ph.D. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
