Kurt Barton

Kurt Barton graduated BYU in 2010 and moved to Boston to work at Fidelity Investments as an equity research analyst. Over his 7 years at Fidelity, his public equity coverage universe included specialty chemicals, proteins, regional banks, and mortgage finance. In 2018 he moved back to Utah to join Ensign Peak Advisors, his current employer. At Ensign Peak, Kurt covers the broad industrials sector on the public equity team. As the Head of Research, he also manages the research staff, internship program, and external trading relationships. He loves living in Utah, which provides excellent skiing in the winter and golf in the summer. He also enjoys reading, tennis, and hiking. He lives in Bountiful with his wife and 5 kids. Kurt is CFA charter holder.
