Lazard

Tracy Farr joined Lazard in 2013 and is a Managing Director in the Capital Structure Advisory group. Mr. Farr works on a variety of acquisition financing, capital structure advisory, and restructuring assignments for clients throughout the firm. His most recent transaction experience includes the acquisition of HunterDouglas by 3G Capital, Oaktree’s investment in TPI Composites, and Quanta’s acquisition of Blattner.  Other recent transactions include the sale of MIC’s portfolio (including Atlantic Aviation and IMTT), Google’s investment in ADT, IBM’s separation of Kyndryl, the purchase of Lummus Technology by The Chatterjee Group and Rhône Group, ABI’s sale of Carlton & United Breweries, the take-private of Merlin Entertainments, Saputo’s acquisition of Dairy Crest, Smith & Nephew’s acquisition of Osiris Therapeutics and the restructuring of Global Cloud Exchange.   

Other transactions include Thomson Reuters and Blackstone’s announced strategic partnership, CVS Health’s acquisition of Aetna, Sempra Energy’s ownership interest in Oncor, AB Inbev’s acquisition of SABMiller, merger of Heinz and Kraft Foods, merger of Johnson Controls and Tyco, Johnson & Johnson’s acquisition of Actelion, BAT’s acquisition of their stake in Reynolds American, Separation of Xerox and Conduent, Danone’s acquisition of WhiteWave Foods, Xylem’s acquisition of Sensus, MKS Instruments acquisition of ESI, Inc. and previously the MKS acquisition of Newport, Dover’s spin-off of Wellsite business, OMI’s acquisition of HaIyard Health, IBM’s acquisition of The Weather Company’s Product and Technology Businesses and the combination of CCE, CCIP, and CCEAG into Coca Cola European Partners. 

Mr. Farr recently spent one year in Lazard’s London, U.K. office working on Restructuring and Debt Advisory engagements.   

Prior to joining Lazard, Mr. Farr spent two years as a manager in Ernst & Young’s (EY) Financial Accounting Advisory Services practice in New York providing on-call consulting to Wall Street and large corporations regarding complex structuring for derivatives, hedging, hybrid debt/equity securities, and capital market transactions.   

Prior to joining EY, Mr. Farr was a postgraduate technical assistant at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) drafting updates to U.S. GAAP for financial instruments, derivatives, hedge accounting, and complex hybrid instruments.
