Women in Business
Our Mission:
- Inform students planning to apply to the program and students not majoring in business (or declared pre-management majors) of the opportunities and options of pursuing a degree and career in business
- Increase the number of women studying business in the Marriott School of Business
- Encourage, build, and educate current Marriott School female students
We offer many different resources to help students in their professional development. These include:
Mentoring: In Women in Business, we offer mentorship to pre-management students. This includes advice about how to apply to the school, how to perfect resumes, and what students can do to differentiate themselves among the business community. Last year we mentored over 100 pre-management students; of those who applied to the business school, 91% were accepted. Compared to the overall BYU Marriott acceptance of 54%, we at Women in Business know exactly how to help students prepare for any program in the business school.
Monthly Events: Every month we hold an event to help our members in their professional development and to build a community of business women. Our events are an incredible resource to hear about real life examples from top professionals and network with amazing companies.
