Spencer has spent over a decade building the Solamere Network while working in the public and private sectors. Spencer previously served as the National Finance Chairman and Senior Advisor for the 2008 and 2012 Mitt Romney presidential campaigns. Likewise, he served as the National Finance Chairman for Speaker Paul Ryan. Spencer previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff and COO in the Office of Governor Mitt Romney in Massachusetts. Spencer also worked in the Executive Office of the Salt Lake City Olympic Organizing Committee for the Winter Games of 2002.

Spencer is a current member of the Brigham and Women's Hospital Campaign Cabinet Board, and serves on the board of the Lupus Research Alliance.

Having spent many years growing up outside the United States, Spencer is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and Thai. Spencer studied Economics and International Studies at Brigham Young University.

Connie Gonzalez is a Vice President for D.A. Davidson's Development Finance Group where she serves clients across Utah and other markets. Her specialized expertise in cashflow analysis, tax increment financial modeling, real estate pro-forma modeling, HTRZ, CPACE, along with innovative debt structuring, provides a dedicated resource to clients looking to secure capital for real estate developments. Additionally, her recent experiences have led her to focus on infrastructure financing districts (IFD), public infrastructure districts (PID) and other financing tools throughout the nation.

 

Prior to joining D.A. Davidson, Connie spent two years at Piper Sandler Companies, where she worked closely with real estate developers and municipalities to help consult and advise on public infrastructure funding. Her previous experience includes equities execution services at Goldman Sachs, Financial Institutions Group at BlackRock in New York City, and an Executive Strategy Internship for the Larry H. Miller Group.

 

Connie serves on the Board for ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals for America) and is the Utah Young Leader Chair for ULI (Urban Land Institute) & Developing Leaders Chair for the Utah NAIOP Board. Her involvement with industry organizations such as CREW, Utah's Economic Alliance, and HomeAid proves evidence of her passion, engagement, and dedication to Utah's growth. Connie studied finance and sociology at Brigham Young University. She holds Series SIE, 50, 52, and 63 licenses.

David graduated with a B.A. in Economics and Spanish Translation from Brigham Young University, and a master's degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Austin overcame poverty and decided to move West where he became a first-generation college graduate at Brigham Young University. Recognizing that financial literacy was critical to changing the trajectory of his life, he chose to study finance. Austin understands the value of a hard-earned dollar and approaches his work with a deep sense of responsibility to steward his clients' wealth.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Cassidy, and their two daughters, traveling, volunteering with his church, and watching college sports.

Prior to Sweetwater, James was Co-founder & President of Madison Creek Partners, a healthcare services company. While at Madison, James oversaw and completed six acquisitions of eleven healthcare facilities. By the time he left, Madison had reached over a thousand employees and exceeded $70 million in annual revenues and $10 million in EBITDA. Prior to starting Madison, James was a Partner & Head of Secondaries at StepStone Group (NASDAQ: STEP), a $67 billion global private capital investment firm. He served on the firm’s Investment Committee and as lead partner for several institutional clients. From 2013 to 2016, James was the Lead Portfolio Manager at Kayne Anderson Rudnick’s EM Small Cap fund (ticker VIESX), a Morningstar 5-Star rated fund that was awarded 2015’s “Best Fund Product for High Net Worth Clients” by Private Asset Management. Previously James was Senior Analyst at Westwood Global Investments from 2005-2013.
