Conference Objectives
The nature and pervasiveness of recent scandals at Volkswagen, Wells Fargo, and other well-regarded companies underscore the challenge even storied multinational corporations have to adhere to minimum standards of legally compliant and ethical behavior. Closer to home, the Wasatch Front has over the years developed the reputation for being a white collar crime and affinity fraud capital. National scholars and BYU professors from the BYU Law School and Business School will join scholars from other schools and practicing lawyers, corporate compliance officers, and prosecutors to discuss principles of business ethics, effective compliance programs, compliance culture, and investigating and resolving serious ethics and compliance issues. The conference content will be of interest to students as well as to experienced lawyers and business leaders.
This event costs $99.33 for members of the public until March 18 ($149 late registration until March 29) and is free to BYU Faculty and Students. Approval for 5 hours CLE (2 hours Ethics Credit) is pending.
