Simon Greathead
Simon P. Greathead is an international business and global supply chain professor at the BYU Marriott School of Business. Greathead earned an MBA from Henley Business School at the University of Reading in the UK and a bachelor's degree in business management from Brigham Young University. Greathead’s current interests focus on global negotiations, international business, supply chain innovation, and the global supply chain as a strategic concern.
Before entering academia, Greathead spent fifteen years in international business, primarily in supply chain and operations roles in Europe working for major retailers and distributors. As a native of Great Britain, he has extensive international experience throughout Europe. Greathead managed European operations for a major Inc. 10 company and recently served as president and CEO of SupplyTrix, a software company focused on enhancing buyer-supplier relationships around the world. Greathead began teaching at BYU in 2008 as an international business instructor and currently teaches global supply chain, operations, negotiations, and international business courses. Greathead especially enjoys his personal interactions with students and faculty, finding these connections the most rewarding part of his job.
Greathead is married to Brooke and has four children: Luke (eleven), Chloe (eleven), Logan (eight), and Lexie (seven). He lives in south Utah County and enjoys the outdoors and following England rugby. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and children and, in his limited spare time, reading early Christian literature and British history.
