BYU Marriott Closing Banquet 2019
Nominee Info
Mitch Larson
Mitch Larson’s initial college plans did not include coming to BYU. Fortunately enough, one thing led to another and a few short months after his mission to Santiago, Chile, in 2015, Larson found himself walking up the south campus staircase on his first day of class at Brigham Young University. That decision to come to BYU has made all of the difference for him.
Following his acceptance into the marketing program, Larson was heavily involved in various business and marketing clubs. He currently serves as the co president of the BYU Pre-Business Student Association (PBSA) with Eliza McGill Blake. With what he considers the team of the century, Larson was able to work with PBSA leadership in a complete rebranding and restructuring of the organization. He considers his involvement in PBSA his biggest contribution to BYU Marriott and its students, as well as the greatest impact BYU Marriott has had on his college experience. He owes everything to his family and those closest to him, including his parents, Shane and Adrienne, and his aunt, Andrea Thomas, who convinced him to come to BYU and has become his most influential mentor. Following graduation, Larson plans to attend the month long Global Marketing Study Abroad, after which he will begin a full-time position with Canopy Tax in Lehi, Utah as a content marketing analyst.
