BYU Marriott Case Competition 2025
The Student Leadership Advisory Council (SLAC) and the National Advisory Council (NAC) are joining forces for the 2025 BYU Marriott Case Competition.
This competition is an excellent opportunity to build your case-competition skills and network with successful industry leaders in a safe and friendly environment. You can organize your own team or throw your name in the ring and be assigned to a team.
This two-round bracket competition will be held on Friday, October 17, from 2:30 to 5:30 PM. In the first round, teams will be divided into brackets, with each bracket judged by a panel comprising industry leaders from the BYU Marriott National Advisory Council. Winners from each bracket will present in the final round to a panel including Dean Madrian and select members from the first-round panels.
The prizes will be as follows:
- Each bracket finalist teams will receive $500
- First place will receive $5000
- Second place will receive $3000
- Third place will receive $2000
** Prize money is to be equally distributed amongst team members
The Case Details
The BYU Marriott Case Competition engages students in the school’s efforts to more fully realize its vision, mission, values, and guiding principles. The case prompt will be a real-life or masked real-life business problem seeking a solution that engages the BYU Marriott Vision, Mission & Values.
The prompt and further details will be shared with teams on Friday, October 3 via email.

Competition Teams
Teams of four BYU Students are eligible to participate. You can organize your own team or be paired with other students through registration.
About the NAC
The National Advisory Council was established to promote BYU Marriott and support the students of the school through mentorship, internships, placement, and scholarships. The NAC is comprised of industry leaders from all walks of corporate and entrepreneurial life dedicated to the success of BYU Marriott.
